Use lines to point to what you want your viewer to see!

So how does it work?

  1. Lines guide the eye towards what the main subject in the photo.
  2. Now look around to see if there are any lines you can use before you take your picture.
  3. Move around and angle your shot to use these lines as best as possible.
  4. Snap your Photo!

You can use any type of line.  It doesn’t have to be a straight line either.  Use curves or a combination!

When you use leading lines to point to your subject, don’t forget to use the Rule of Thirds as well!

Leading lines will help tell a story and guide your viewer’s eye towards what you want them to see!

Can you use leading lines in your photo?
